Families can reside in a single-family home for up to four years while working with a case worker to set goals. Families have access to numerous community resources such as child care, life skills training, tutoring and other educational services, as well as recreational and community service opportunities.

- Married, Single parent or guardian(s) families with at least one child under the age of 18. - The child(ren) must have a parent or grandparent that is a VFW or Auxiliary member or is eligible for membership - The child(ren) must have a parent that is a veteran that is honorably discharged or still active duty or in the reserves

Through the Helpline and on-campus program, the organization provides help to these families experiencing hardships and find resources both here at the National Home and in their own communities nationwide. Services are talklines/warmlines and transitional housing/shelter.
